 The Germantown Jazz Festival took place from April 24 to April 26, 2026. This annual, three-day event celebrates the historic jazz heritage of Philadelphia by bringing local jazz stars and international headliners to venues across the historic Germantown neighborhood. October Gallery Museum & Mercer Redcross assisted in marketing this event.

Mercer Redcross with artist Leon McDuffie and McDonald's franchisee Craig Welburn. The portrait on the wall is by McDuffie to acknowledge Craig Welburn, a Cheyney University graduate, who owns and operates over 45 McDonald's restaurants. The art is part of the October Gallery Collection at Cheyney University.

On February 25, 2023 Mercer Redcross was honored by the Philadelphia Museum of Art for his legacy as a national leader and advocate for Black art & artists. The Honorable Vincent Hughes was part of the ceremony. 

Mercer Redcross was selected as one of Fun Times Magazine's 2018 Men of Influence.  FunTimes Magazine operates from offices in Philadelphia, PA.  They celebrate African, Caribbean and African American communities in the Delaware Valley.
